Mangaris as bow wood?

Has anyone used Mangaris as bow wood? I just purchased two kinds, redwood and diamond. They have beautiful color and tight grain and would make nice looking hunting sticks if they are a good bow wood.

When I experiment with a 'unknown' wood, I always go for wider and longer than normal. Also some kind of backing, rawhide, cloth, heavy paper. That kind of thing.

Bowmakers are a little bent, but knappers are just plain flaky.
