Anybody ever see a piece of Osage that looked like this  :)

Just to different not to post...  (not my Stave)

That has to be the coolest looking stave I have ever seen. I can't wait to see it turned into a bow!

Just to be clear.....  This is not my Stave but I hope it shows up here in a thread. It was sold on the auction site and brought $410.00 plus $47.15 shipping... I just though it was so unique that I had to post the pictures.... I just hope it was someone that will post their build.

This is way beyond my skills...

For that kind of money, I sure hope the buyer gets a bow out of it. You never know what is in the middle of the stave.

$457 is a rediculous price. I think I pair $65 for the one I got.   I'd love to give a stave like this a try!  8)

I saw one like that in a photo of a roller bow in a book. It was done by Chester Stevenson or one of his friends. Whoever bought the stave I hope gets a bow out of it. Jawge

   If word gets out on that all the Ca tweakers will be heading east looking for snakey osage! I am glad the guy got a good price for it, the stave harvesters earn every penny they make.
