Exceptionally nice bow, finish work is just sweet. The braced and full draw shots are awesome and the tips show your attention to detail.

Very cool.  Nice color combonation.  Love how you did the handle too.   Good job!

Thank you all for your kind words. This was my first piece of hickory ive ever tried. (shagbark) i really like the stuff. Its not osage, but it aint bad. Im very happy with the way the skins came out. O couldnt decide if i should half the snake and split the half, or use the whole snake. Im glad i split it now!

On another note, i got a call from my snake guy and today i am going to look at a 20ft python!

That is a beautifull bow and the first piece of hickory I wouldn't think of using in the BBQ grill. Excellent bow!

Eddie, it was my first hickory bow at all. Ive used a bunch of it for smokin; kinda kick myself for not having cut more years ago. Not bad stuff. Like i said "Not osage, but not bad." I like it better than hackberry and ash. I still need to try some elm though. Thanks all.

Tim, you put that skin from mojam on anything yet?

Beautiful looking bow.  I've always been happy with Hickory, but you have to keep it really dry.  We ruined a couple bows last spring by storing in the garage over the winter and just stringing them up and shooting in the spring. Should have taken them inside to dry out and for a week or so and oiled em up good before shooting them.  Both were several years old and had been fine up to that point, but fretted on the lower limbs that day.  We live in upstate NY, by the way, humidity central.

David that is a great looking profile. Had to come back for another look. Exceptionally clean and well detailed bow! Congratulations to you and whoever the lucky owner is.
