You skin that smoke wagon and we'll see what happens!---Are you gonna do something? Or just stand there and bleed?

Gd to hear from you again, David!  It's got me thinking what are you going to do now?  You're already late for your own funeral.  How about being a no-show?!?!

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The latest update from David's Caringbridge journel:

written by Nancy Baldwin

The Energizer Bunny's batteries are wearing down, but he's still going. He is very weak, but able to blink and squeeze our hands to answer questions. He doesn't seem to be in pain. We are all truly touched by the support and care that his widespread friends and family have shown. Bowyers, when he seemed to have trouble going back to sleep this morning, I suggested that he imagine a cool fall morning in his tree stand, thermos of coffee nearby, watching the sun rise and waiting to see who would appear. Did I come close to what I imagine is his happy place?

Yes Nancy you hit it perfectly - I am certain your words gave him comfort. My prayers to you, David, and his extended family as you near the end of this journey.
