Powder Creek shoot pics
« on: July 22, 2007, 11:06:06 pm »
Here's a few pics from the Powder Creek shoot at Mills River, NC this weekend. We had a few of the PA gang there, including PatB, Tom B, and  Li' Pat. We had a great time. Joe, Linda, and the others responsible for putting this shoot on did an excellent job. did some shooting, knapping, eating, and bull-shooting.  Great course with some imaginative shots, including Moby Carp floating in the middle of a pond, and the African safari hunt scene of a lion and crocodile fighting over a warthog carcass. Even had a clout shoot.

We have officially adopted a new mascot/totem /spirit animal. All hail and obey Lyle Lovett, Neanderthal chicken deluxe! (named by Pat for his sexy hairdo  ;D )  Follower-arounder, stander-in-front-of-targets, walker-underfooter, rooster-on-shoulderer, narcoleptic eater of razor sharp obsidian flakes and other assorted silicious debitage, long may Lyle gaze down upon us from his lofty perch of authority high atop Barry's juju stick. We salute you, Lyle, you are undoubtably the great omnipitant imperial potentate of primitive poultry.

Well done Steve. I couldn't have said it better my self. ;D  It was a fun shoot. Linda and Joe, their 2 kids Rachael and Joe, and the other members did a fine job of setting up this shoot. I believe Joe said almost 80 shooters in the 2 days.   I must say Lyle kept the jocularity going around the knapping pit.   Pat
