i have about 25 shoots seasoning right now of varying different diameter, most probably 5/16 to 3/8 or so. I am thinking i will scrape the bark off of them and if they are too stiff, scrape some wood off but otherwise i don't think i'll worry about diameter for this set. Straighten them, fletch them, shoot them. If they are too stiff, i can always take off some more wood, right?
Gotta start somewhere i guess.
