Snake Skin maintenance

I have been doing some trading for snake skins for Osage and have accumulated several nice snake skins. What is the best way to maintain these skins so they do not fade on me. Should I put them in the freezer or just a cool dark place or what. Dean

Dean, I make sure they are dry then roll them and put them in a baggie. Store out of direct sunlight.

I put mine in paper envelopes to be sure zero moisture is around, then I slide them in my desk drawer in the shop. Mine get used within 6 months usually, so I doubt it matters much.
