Killed this fellow yesterday,to far back[I guess] Liver .He only went 150 or so and bled good all the way, The  liver may not be the shot folks go for but it ant bad.
121 lb 5 point. 48@28 boo/ipe [I traded Jon out of] I twisted my elbow Monday and needed someting light [I only draw 26] and smooth and this will fit the bill till the arm gets better. I think it was a David Knight blank.  :) :) Almost forgot,5/6 yard shot. :)

5-6 yards, Pappy?  I'd think by now you would have learned some patience and let 'em get a little closer.  I suppose you young whippersnappers with keen eyesight can make those longshots.  Good work, at that range it prolly looked like an elk at 20 yds!

5 yards?!?!?! Post pics of your hunting blind/set up.. I want to copy what you are doing.. Or maybe you shower more often than me or you just smell as fresh as a new born baby.. Diego and I have hunted hard and haven't seen anything.. Must be what they say.. location. location. location..

Liver is good, lots of blood vessels. My experience is that they may travel a bit farther, but the blood trail is heavy.
Glad your marksmanship was up to the task on a 5-6  yd shot.!!

congrats Pappy.  I like a liver shot.... i will sure take it over a gut shot thats for sure.  my couple of liver shots have only gone about 100y or so....might clipped a lung tho too, hard too say.    great job as always tho- Ryan
