Jungle Gym/Jim...
« on: November 11, 2011, 03:33:31 pm »
Knowing the levels of woodworking and carpentry of members of PA, I was wondering if anyone has ever made a "jungle gym/Jim" themselves?  The metal tubing versions don't last too well, in Irish weather so I'd like to try something with timber, for my kids to be able to expend energy on.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience/advice/tips etc on building one, or even if someone has some plans/blueprints for one they'd be willing to share?

Thanks,

Steve.

I built one from a kit, but that has been several years ago.  The kids have already outgrown it and I tore it down.  Just a warning, my son fell of of it once and broke both his wrists.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I did when my kids were little. I welded it up out of drilling rods and it lasted forever. But the wife wanted to know why it had a 3' piece sticking out of one end. I told her it was for the tire swing and could also be used to hang my gimble to dress hogs and deer. ;D
