I finally got out to the shop.  I tried to make a knife blade, but snapped it in 2.  So, I took the largest piece and worked on my pressure flaking.  Stalled a notch before I got them as deep as I wanted.  Even so I think this is my favorite point so far.  Came out a little heavy, but I like it.

Thanks guys.  It is the first time I got pressure flakes to consistently run on a point. Still need to learn to make them go further to the center.  Had 1 flake go almost clear across but thankfully it didn't cause trouble. Have no idea what I did different that time.

Nice Keenan!  They are almost twins, but yours has serrations.  I think that makes yours better. :)

Tonight I tried to make a knife from a tough piece of coral I got from Eddie.  It had a horrible lump of cortex in the middle.  I got so excited when I whacked it off, but it was premature....  turns out there were little polyps all through the thing.  Looks like a couple of the little coral tubes are still in there.  I got it almost thin enough and darned if there isn't one right in the base so I can't get it thin enough to haft it up.  Good grief.  Cool stone though.
