how much would be worth some wood?
« on: November 08, 2011, 11:44:52 pm »
i have finally acquired the materials and plan to make a good forge for making bodkin points and the like and i was wondering how many hand forged bodkin points people would think worth trading for a stave of wood, any kind( i have not gotten good enough to trade any yet, i am just curious for later this winter once i get better)
thanks
noel

Working a tree to get a stave is work, but forging is more complicated.  So, for me it would depend on the type of wood, and cost of shipping. And dont limit yourself to just points, knives, spears, hawks,(ooh,I've always wanted a froe) hand forged anything is cool.  The people people on this site are trade worthy folks,so I'm sure you'll find a good trade time come.
laugh. its good for ya
