i was just looking at a woodworking store near where i was having dinner and well..... i found what seems to be the mother-load
this is a list of woods they have, they didn't list hickory online but i saw it in store

Have not used such exotic woods for bows....

 Have made some toy blocks for my grandson out of many. And some turkey call from a few others.   Ebony for a part on a crossbow. Tip overlays from a couple.

   If I were to choose a wood for a bow to try from that list I would of course try the osage!!

  All the bows I have tried are from local woods.....except for a guava stave.

  Hope someone can help you decide on a bow wood!!

Don't know alot of these woods you have listed above, I would exclude the woods that Tim Baker has mentioned as non bow woods and borderline bow woods. For the rest of these wood I would do a search on this forum. I am missing laburnum as a true bow wood on the list of tim baker, maybe more woods are possible than listed.

All ebony and blackwood species are probably to heavy and very expensive. I have seen snakewood used as bellywood in longbows, it's very beautiful.

If I can remeber correctly I have seen bloodwood as a belly wood a few times

When I read your list I immediately thought of the Woodcraft closest to where I live (20+ miles away). Their tropical wood selection includes Purpleheart, Paduak, Zebrawood, Yellowwood, and Jatoba (among several others).

Are you interested in making a selfbow out of these or are you looking for a belly wood for a heavy longbow?  I'm also interested in reading any responses since I would like to make a few heavy bows sometime down the line... I've got plenty of good hickory waiting to be cut into backing strips.

either self of belly woods, they also had ash, hickory and maple for backs

i have made a couple of laminates from  Argentinean Osage ,whiteoak and purple heart from woodcraft , it was hard to find straight grains to work with but i found some that where OK.
The Osage was boo backed and it is a fast hard shooter.....
I used the purple heart as a core and it works good i would definitely  back it with something like wood or boo....
I am almost finished w/a the boo backed whiteoak and so far it is shooting good at 22'' ......
