KNOT HEAD
« on: October 24, 2011, 11:24:33 am »
Killed a doe the other day that had a big growth growing for the top of her head. The growth was down over her left side almost over her eye. I named her KNOT HEAD. I don't shoot many doe's. Unless my farms need them taken off. I saw this doe a few times over the summer and told  myself if I got the chance I would.
Shot her at 12 yards my first with a HAZZLE arrow and home made trade point. This is the first year I've made HAZZLE arrows. Little soft but doable.

It was a 64"osage 60#@26"s I'd built it for a friend in 96. When he killed hisself in 99. He left me a big pile of his things under a feeder he had on a farm we hunted. It was in it. I had a dozzen bows on racks I'm not sure why I really started useing it.
I think she was ok at least for now well was fine.
