I sure did Chris,and showed her the pic online. I am a mushball,got it from mom,n I was shaky n almost in tears myself.

Great work om the finish..... that was a great shooting bow!!!Josies uncle(the blacksmith) is gonna make  a bow from the sister stave.

That's some real interesting character in that bow.

It finished up well and has a good primitive look for sure.

Thanks Bill...hope he can make a bow out of it,and id like to see it if he does. I think mine was the worser of the two,but you know that kind of wood is my forte and I like a challenge some of the times.

That's awesome that your mom appreciates what you've done.  You are a skilled craftsman.  Your workshop is pretty incredible as well.  Now I feel bad for just getting my mom some kitchen utensils.   :-[

Hey Blackhawk Sir..you some kind of teacher or somethin?That was the most informative and detailed piece on bow construction I've read to this point(I could actually follow what you were writing as I read it..the fist time!),Kudos!!  The breakdown on faceting filled in a lot of ???'s for me as well,so thanx again and keep em' coming,Ron ;)
