antler punch notches
« on: October 19, 2011, 10:17:52 am »
all hammerstone, notched with an antler punch. finally realised what i was doing wrong with notching. i was placing the punch to close to the edge , by placeing it in a bit deeper i could get bigger c-flakes.

Very nice
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

There's a big ole bison killer! Very nice point. Rootbeer? Great notches. The percussion scars really look like the ones I've found. Well done

thanks gents. paul i think the antler slips when struck so by going in deeper it is striking closer to the edge than i think. before i would stall the edge quick
