osage hunter
« on: October 12, 2011, 09:02:05 pm »
Hi all, Here is this seasons hunting bow. I made it from a piece of Osage I got at the classic. Its a great shooting little bow! The sinew wrap above the handle was for a splinter that pulled up on the side. It origanated from where I foolishly filed in a small arrow locator. Should have known better. Anyway, it turned out well and shoots fast! Specks: 56:NTN, 50#@28", 1/5" out of the handle then tapering to 1/2" nocks. 1/8" positive tiller, cherry stain on back. deer antler tips. Enjoy!

Nicely done... good save with the splinter, and your tiller looks perfect to me! A super recurve.
