What would you take for a hunt in KY?
« on: October 09, 2011, 09:40:25 pm »
Ok, here is the scenario:

You are heading out on a weekend long primitive hunt here in KY.  NO modern gear (except for a cell-wife's rule).  We are talking leather, linen and wool, no guns...not even a flintlock....

For cutting tools you are ONLY allowed on of the two following combos:

1.  Med-Sized belt axe (ala the Gransfors Hunters Axe) and a long-ish french style butcher knife

                                                    OR

2.  A thick bladed parang and a 5" bladed belt knife.

No matter what you will have a mora #1241 as a neck knife with either combo and a collapsible 12" bladed bow saw.

HAS to be one of these two...no exceptions....and remember, you are in KY!

No Tequila in KY?

Not unless they outlawed it after I did my Basic Training in Fort Knocks back in "84"...

Okay... I'll go out on a limb here and start sawing on the tree side of my seat.

If it were me, I'd leave the significant other at home... and take the Hunting Dog.

I'm just saying...   :o
