Russian Olive, Mojave type Bow
« on: October 07, 2011, 08:02:20 pm »

Just finished this Russian Olive Mojave type bow .
52"ntn 38#@27"  It was fun to build and a fun little shooter. Starts off at approx 40# and after shooting it awhile it drops down to about 38# maybe a little less.

Thanks for looking, Chuck

Thats the second gorgeous Russian Olive bow you have put out lately Chuck. I need to find some of that to whittle on. Perfect bend by the way.

Yeah the tiller looks perfect to me.  Nice job!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Thanks all for looking and kind words,

TurtleCreek at the center of handle is approx 1 1/2" wide and 1/2" thick with a very low crowned back and flat belly. The limbs very in width widest 1 3/4" narrowest 1 1/4" The tips narrow last 5-6 inches to 3/4" with pin nocks.

Kpete you find your RO yet?

I cant believe how this wood bends and takes heat good to did flip the tips a bit and on my other RO bow I altered it a lot with heat, all with good results.

Thanks again for Looking, Chuck
