I had an idea the outher day and called up a company that does blown glass art, asked if they had any slag glass, the said no, but they just cleaned out one of the furnaces and to come take a look
this is what i got, should get some neet looking points outta this stuff, plus they gave it to me , Bub
failure is an option, everyone fails, it's how you handle it that matters.

Looks like slag to me. that'll have some nice color and swirls going on - aughta be purty..

I just looked up two glass blowers in my area.  Gonna give em a call right now.  I'll repost w/ results.  Keepin' my fingers crossed, dpgratz
