That's a great looking bow and love the mythological history that goes with it. No matter how many "pretty" bows I make, always like making the 'simple".

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Thank you friends, very much... I will keep them coming!
randman - I am glad I can give back something to bowmakers comunity. When I was younger I was just taking, now is time to give some expirience. I use B-50 for lighter bows and ff for heavier.
sa- just do not overdraw them during tillering. The saplings we work on were bended by the wind without problems- why making them into bows would change anything...?  ;) The groove you see is place where I chopped out it's spoongy core.

I am intrigued by the grove in the bow. Does it serve a function. Was it a way to get the tips to bend...  I have never seen this before?

That is a "magical" bow.  Good work!  I too love the story.  I think it gives it an extra special meaning.   I have been wondering if that type of wood would be good for a bow...nice to see it done.  Thanks for sharing!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Nice "nipples" on the Elder Mother! Legend has it that you should ask her permission three time before cutting her wood!...

Love the bow!

Very nicely done! Sometimes the simple bows are the hardest to make.
