Yew ELB take down (not for BOM) F/D pic's!

Started making a take down and found the billets I had ready were no good (de-lamination) I ended up with a couple of bits from different trees. This was going to be a challenge, would they match up? I had a couple of knot holes that needed plugging and some twists and bumps to sort out. I kind of had an idea I wanted to try out, I sketched out my plan and went for it. I'll let the pictures do the talking. In the end I got a nice 70" long bow, 60lb @28".

Hey, really great job.
One great advantage of a take down is it makes the limbs easier to photograph ;D.
If I can be really picky?
I'd say you could slim the tip down so it blends in better just before where it suddenly narrows into the horn nock. If it can be that thin at the nock, then it implies it's carrying some spare weight just befoer the slim down point. It would look smoother too.
But I really love it, I'd say go for BOM with that beauty.

Thanks guys, I thought I might get some comments on the tips. So I will explain my thinking. I can make a bow thats fast, durable with little hand shock and set, but I also wanted to make it look a bit different. So this is the trade off, extra mass for aesthetic purposes. I'm sure I have sacrificed some ft per second and added a little to the discharge one feels on release; but I did it knowingly. Others might have worked the wood different and I probably will on my next bow (Elder ELB anyone?). Thank you for your constructive criticism though - I do appreciate it :)

This ones not for BOM as I cant win anyway it seems daft to be in it :)

Yet another really nice bow. I hope to get my takedown completed shortly and this offers up a little motivation to work on it today.

I will be looking for that fulldraw picture.

That dang stool is a work of art as well. 8)
