Risers on R/D bows?
« on: September 25, 2011, 05:08:47 pm »
hey guys,  I'm just curious how many of you think it's best to center the handle and shoot just above the hand or center the arrow or place arrow 1" above center?

My first flat bows worked off a centered handle and seem to shoot fine.  I moved the handle down on my ELB proportioned bow, leaving a long upper limb.  Shoots fine.  Just wondering what people think out there.

I was just thinking the same thing today. I'm preparing to work on a couple of bows and have been reading about symmetrical an asymmetrical tiller. I've been reading about whether a bow is tillered for split two finger or 3 below. Frankly, I'm skeptical it makes much of a difference at all. Maybe you should hold the bow differently but I am very interesting in hearing from more experience bowyers.
