Yes Sir...

Sorry about the Hook...  8)
I was tempted to post the finished photo but where is the fun in that.
There should be a little bit of a supprise left for the new owner.

I'll just say that at present this is one of my best.
The rich color and iridescence of this staff are Excellent!
Gave me the chance to incorporate a lot of the techniques I've learned in my short time bow building.
This piece is my forty first staff/walking stick and took just over two hundred hours to finish.
Only have a little packing work to do, but will be ready to ship on December 10th.

Have to say that the Excitement of wanting to see this staff in the hands of her master is nearly unbearable!!!  :)

Come On Christmas!

Well I have annealed my knife blade and I am in process of working it down.  Also working on the handle some.  More pics to come shortly.  Need to get the knife rough made up to start on the sheath for it.
Happy hunting to all!

I changed my mind completely this morning and decided to do a knife instead.  Started forging down an odd shaped piece of saw steel and was starting to forge in the bevels when I got distracted and melted it in the forge.  Started on another piece and messed up and ended up with a cold shut on the edge.  Decided it was time to set it aside and work on something else for a while.  I'll have to file out that cold shut before I can move any father on it.

Batavier we have already closed sign up for this exchange but we would love to have you join in next year and by then if you hang around on this site you will definately be able to craft some stuff. Nice to have you here!

Josh

Indeed, wouldn't have had time to craft stuff on such short notice anyway. But I still like the idea! Thanks for the thumbs up!
