Got mine underway.  Right now it's still just a chunk of cherry and a plow bottom, but hopefully it'll shape up over the next few weeks.  Now if I could find that blasted nut for my angle grinder.....

SWEET
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

here is mine, i am doing 2 and going to send the best one, I always need my back scratched and the wife isnt always around so I will keep one of these ;D they are both made of tight grained Yew wood and I may leave the bark on one but I havent decided yet. Sorry for the small pictures, I might add a little deflex to the one that is almost done as it has a slight amount of reflex. The one with the bark on has a good amount of deflex so it should work good. ;D

Here's probably the final update (got to keep some element of surprise).

Still got a couple hours worth of sanding to do on the club.  I forged the spike out of a bolt I found in an old railroad tressle piling, but I got it a little too thin at the tip so I'm going to redo it.  I want to make sure it's plenty beefy should the recipient want to throw it any.

Jonathan,

That War Club is looking Mighty Fine!!!

That is definitely one of my favorite weapons.
And absolutely wicked in use in the close of "The Last Mohican"...
