NICE HEADS but only the teeth are harden and tempered. Still good enough to kill deer. But like PAT says the points couls roll back.
You can harden and temper your points to where no bone will roll it back.
I use old saw mill blades 1095 steel. You can temper them in and oven after hardening. TO HARDEN HEAT CHERRY RED COOL IN VEG.OIL. Then heat the oven to 400% and put yout heads in for and hour. Let air cool and do it again.
I've got 2 points embedded in vertabea's with the points sticking through. Rib and shoulders no problem. Have even stuck them in cender blocks. This also works good on knives made of 1095 steel. They will get super sharp and stay sharp 58 rockwell hardest. Knive you buy (wallmart) are only 54,55 easy to sharpen but don't stay sharp. These take longer to sharpen but stay sharp a lot longer.
I'm not sure of the type of steel your heads are made of so this is likely the wrong temp and time for them. But this will work with most mile steels. Give it a try.
