Holmeguaard (kind of!) replica
« on: September 17, 2011, 10:57:55 am »

This is a small leaved elm holmeguaard inspired bow i've just finished. Rosewood overlays and plain leather wrap handle. It's 66 inches long and draws 63lbs @ 27.
The arrow speed is with a 575 grain arrow.
Tillering was quite fun as the limbs leave the handle at different angles and the upper limb has some deflex mid limb. It holds a fair reflex when un-strung.

Nice job with the pin knots Mike. Very impressive arrow speed too.

I'm guessing it's an 8, with a couple segments of the display not working.

Sweet bow!

Will you post pics of the back profile and give dimensions?

Thanks guys.
Yes the P is an 8 ;D , I keep meaning to get a new screen for it but don't have a soldering iron....and don't like electronics!
I'll take a picture of the backs profile today, from memory I think it finished up around 1 3/4 inch wide out of the fades and the nocks are around 1/4 inch wide.
