Hello all, Here are 3 bows that I have done recently. the first is an osage orange recurve, second is a gull wing sinew backed osage plains Indian bow and the third is a bufflao horn belly sinew backed Osage bow with dogwood arrows.

Awesome!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Excellent bows!  Could we see the unbraced profile of the recurve?  I'm working on my first, and I'd like to compare mine to see if I'm on the right track.

im curious Eric if the osage recurve had a knot or wave above the handle , it looks thin in the braced and hingy in the full draw . interesting work as always . really like the profile of the last one

""it looks thin in the braced and hingy in the full draw """   ??? your vision must be blurred! ..Or mine is, one or the other...I see no hinge and thin it is not.
The bow is 63" and 50# at 27" To me the tiller is spot on..but what do i know about bowmaking anyway Im an amateur.  ;)

here are a few more pics of the hingy and thin bow!

I believe this is what Ken is refering too. Looks hingy to me too. Could be the angle.
