Attempt Number 3
« on: September 03, 2011, 11:44:59 pm »
Well today i finished wrapping this red oak board bow after about 2 hours of wrapping(failing) and then wrapping some more and here is the end result. 70 inch nock to nock, 53 lbs at 29 inch and unlike my first bow this one shoots like a pro. Slight hinge in the lower limb, but hey its one of my first bows so whata u do. No backing on this one unlike my first two. Other than that its pretty much a solid shooter. Im working on my skill at tillering, but everything else is coming along nicely. Blah blah blah yeah i talk alot, heres the bow.

The pictures are almost too small to see.  Looks like you copied the thumbnails instead of the full sized pics.  What I can see looks good.

Doesn't look bad to me.  Any bow that shoots is successful if you ask me.  I've personally never made a red oak bow so you're up on me already.  How bout a full draw picture?

Full draw shot!  Money shot!  Woohoo!

Congrats on your shooter.  There will be many more but there is only one First!  Good work!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
