Well this one has a story to it. Early this spring a buddy of mine dropped by and said he found some osage on his old family place that we could cut, so I grabbed the saw and some wedges and hopped in his truck. We found a bunch. The last tree I was cutting had a branch that swooped down lower than I did and stuck a thorn right in the top of my head. I bled more than I had since that one time I tried to build a cannon and got crazy grinding the weld down.....well that can wait for another time. So anyway the tree has a history now of getting things bloody hence the name "Bloodletter".
Stats are 67" ntn slightly cut in shelf built up with some leather. 53# @28" 6 coats of laquer (i know some don't like laquer but it seems to work well for me) Buckskin handle wrap in a style I've been experimenting with. Tips are mahoganny (thought it was cherry till I started rasping it) and antler.
Hope you enjoy.
