Gull wing bow, 85# 30"
« on: July 29, 2011, 01:38:07 pm »
This is custom made bow for one big man, my friend Max. He wanted heavy gull wing bow so I did my best to make him happy. This is medium quality elm, 74" ntn (Max is almost 80" tall), 2" wide, a little over 1" of set, not heat treated. Upper limb seems softer but it already had that shape, I just followed, lower limb was little more reflexed than upper. I had problem with one ugly knot but I just deicided to ignore it, as usuall. Oiled and bee waxed.

Nice work Druid!

Man those are some nice curves on that bow.
Obviously it can bring home some meat, If it could cook the meat I would consider proposing to it.  ;D
