Simple ELB (Not 4 BOM)
« on: July 28, 2011, 08:24:20 pm »

Hey everyone,

I just finished up this ELB that I plan on using for target shooting and improving my terrible shooting form and habits....  >:D I plan on making 3 more almost identical bows with different finishes and weights to use for hunting.... I absolutely love this real simple design..

Stats:

Red Oak
71" t2t
38#@28"
1 1/8" wide at handle straight tapering to 1/2" tips
1 1/4 inch set after resting unstrung for a few hours

Ifrit,
Great looking bow there, sir.....it's longer, and has different style tips than the NA bows I've made lately, but the same priciple.......and they do shoot very well and are well mannered to boot.
very well done.

Well done! - Kinda hard to judge the tiller, but I believe the lower limb could stand a few more scrapes at mid limb.

Thanks everyone...

Medicine wheel- I agree, the lower limb is a little stiff but I did not want to lose any more weight by evening it up... Also the bow is canted slightly so it looks a little odd...
