Do I leave the sapwood on cherry or work it down to the heart wood??? Thanks for any help

Hi Soy, I haven't worked cherry, but other Prunus sp. are treated as "white" woods. Just remove the bark and start tillering. Ron

Long ago I built a few cherry bows and they were from right under the bark. Long and wide as per Paul Comstock.
