twist developing while tillering?

If a limb starts to develop a propeller type of twist during tillering is it because not enough wood is being taken off one side of the limb? It is a well seasoned piece of osage.

Check the thickness across the limb with your thumb and fingers. You will find that one side is thicker than the other.
If you have a tillering gizmo run it down either side or each limb(on the belly) and it will show you where to remove wood to eliminate the twist!
