very nice ,very nice... how are you cutting your fletchings SO evenly?
seems my fletchings are always running from my knife.

Tried this year putting in some river cane along our spring branch, clean fresh water year round.
but unfortunately the heavy rains caused some flooding and they just rotted away.
cane might be a little more tempermental than i thought...

sorry y'all -- i just can't call it "boo" , cane is cane to me.
bamboo is what comes from somewhere far away.
when i'm working on things my ancestors worked, singing the songs my ancestors sang, dancing the same dances, speaking the same language, only then  I feel connected to the land, THIS land, where my ancestors walked for thousands of years...

i made these for tim.  eddie, james, and i cut a bunch of cane back in dec. when we were hog hunting.  i cut about 20 and only got seven to spine in the 60# range that i was wanting, even after tempering the hell out of them.  since tim is getting into primitive archery, i'm hoping he'll take a hog or deer this year with some cane arrows that grew on his property.  if i can find a good set up, i may try for a hog with a stone point.
