..And glad I did.Caught this nice mess of Bluegill and one Shellcracker this morning. They were bedding in a foot and a half of water and I kept catching them till the last worm. This is about all I like to clean at one time anyway.

We stocked a bunch of F1 Hybrid Gills on our pond 4 springs ago...was just thinking about doing a cookout with some.  What's preferred method of cleaning em & cooking em?

I love fishing for Bluegill, and catfish. I caught these in a Park around the corner from my house. Before it was a Park it was just woods and old Phosphate mine pits. That was my hangout when I was in my Teens. It was kinda fun to go back and hit my old, favorite fishing spots.

Lee;
I scale, cut the head and clean the guts. Then lightly batter with corn meal and deep fry in peanut oil. The heads and guts get buried in my garden to feed the worms.

Could ya smell them bedding Eddie.   I used to love to take a Brim Buster telescoping pole a bit of 4# mono line and a few different popping bugs and see what was popping! I can smell them beds from here.  8)   Good eats too, just like you discribed.  ;)
