Thanks all. Cowboy, I learned that pattern by watching Marty Reuters video on making the Sloan Dalton. I was using copper, but the same technique applies. I just try to run them ribbons to the ridge and then bring them over from the other side. Lots of variable at play. Work off a pretty tight edge, just grind it well .Tool spacing comes with doing,so do Brother!

That is a good piece of rock so that makes it easier,also the point is only 1 1/4" wide.
