George, I fly in at 4PM and fly out at 8:46PM. I'll probablly hang out in an airport bar. ;D  I've had two beers since I left. Everything I eat or drink had to be brought in for me.

Thanks, Pappy, I'm ready to get home. ;)

Too bad, there's some nice places to see in Panama City.  That flight to Miami goes over Cuba and it was almost always rough there.  We got so we flew out of Houston to avoid it.  This time of year there's often bad weather in the gulf.  I'm sure you're used to it.  Have a safe flight.

Here's some pictures of the town and peoples houses. A lot of the houses were made by tieing small saplings in a crosshatch and then taking the clay we walked on and packing the little 8" squares with clay till it dried. A lot of the places without walls looked just like the Seminole Dwellings,, kinda makes you wonder? ::) Any mountains in the picture is Venezuela.

This little town is amazing. Amazing that it is still on the map. The town's income is derived from smuggling gasoline from Venezuela. Almost everybody in town has gas stored in 5 gal containers or more in there houses. They sell it for about $12 for 5 gallons, right beside the people selling and cooking BBQ with propane burners. The whole town is one, big, firebomb.

The airport in Valledupar and as close as I got to Panama City,, the bar in the airport drinking Panama Beer. In the far background of the shot in through the window is the skyline of Panama City. ::)

It sure would be nice to live a simple life again, but that looks a little complicated. The house in picture 103 looks like my uncle's house.

No kidding, I was amazed when I saw the living conditions of some of these people, nothing like Brazil. After dark none of the locals ventured outside, just the bad guys and people driving fast.

That was intersting Eddie. Man that looks poor! Reminds me of these border towns..
