West Texas chert.

I picked this piece up from Kinley Coyan at the Fredricksburg knap-in. He picks it up off of his ranch. He puts a little heat to it and WOW it is some good stuff. One of the easiest stones to knap. It doesn't take a lot of force to make it work. Here are some pics of the reduction stages. I need to straighten the sides a little but Ill save that for another day.

Dang Tower! You do know how to fine tune em! I have seen quite a bit of that in the perd that I've picked up south of San Antonio. Seems like the ones with more pinkish in em work the best. That's a fine point there..

Wow. Ive seen some of that stuff at Pipers, looks like really nice stuff and that appears to be no exception. Great job!

I bought a box of Kinley's rock an I agree nice stuff specially the ones with the pink tint. Really nice point :D :D
