new material

I got a couple pcs of this material at the classic from Jesse, I can't remember what he called them but they reminded me of a clam in shape, or a flying sauser. Two turtle backs with a rim around the middle, anyways the material inside was pretty an flaked real well, Maybe Shannon can tell me what kind of rock this was. Sure wished I would got more of it :'( :'( Thanks for looking.  Bob

Bob, he called it "Campbell Creek" he picked up those nodules at Fort Campbell and heated them.  It's some type of Ft. Payne chert.

well, i live in rhode island, so i got lots to try from, who knows, if it works, i could go clam for a little, eat them then knapp them, wow sounds almost perfect ;D

Thanks Shannon, yep now I do remember Jesse refering it to Ft. Campbell. Truly strange looking nodules, I was thinking Rosewell  :D :D

 That stuf makes a nice looking point.
I'v never seen it befor and i found it deer hunting on Ft Campbell, and i'v only ever seen it in one spot and the good stuff all looks like that.
It is a type of fortpayn.
 I named it "Campbell Creek"
