Christmas exchange bow that I received.
« on: December 17, 2010, 10:07:30 pm »
I had to post some pictures.  It is a really nice bow.

Will add some full draw pics later.

It is made of elm.  The grip is european highland cattle or maybe Galloway (not sure) with hair on.  The floppy rest is caribou rawhide.  The string is artificial sinew.   It also has hemp wrapped around the lever fades and above and below the grip.  It is 63 1/2" NTN.  And it draws in the 60's @ 30" but not sure of exact weight.  I am thrilled to be the new owner of this fine weapon.  Oh also the limbs have writing in elder Futhark.  The upper says "Baileyson: James: Bow" and the lower says "The: Kettling : Klora".

Very nice gift.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

That bow's got Half Eye written all over it :)

Sweet present!  I'm gonna have to get in on the Christmas exchange next year!

I have shot it a few times.  Shoots real good...I still have to get the best arrow set up for it.  It is so smooth to draw.  I plan to shoot and see how much cast it has this coming week.  Yes Half Eye makes a fine bow....he is a gentleman.
