Black concrete
« on: June 01, 2011, 06:22:59 pm »
I hadn't posted much lately been covered up at work. I had this piece of something that came from the Colorado river in central TX. I worked it raw & beat up some good boppers. This stuff is like concrete, I had to hit it like I live hard & fast. I thinned it the best I could ,it hinges in a bad way.I sacrificed my width trying to remove the hinges. Here are a few pics of it.

Nice blade, that stuff looks like Ryolite. I read that there was some out that way.

Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.

Good one Tower! Hey, I found a bunch of grey/green tabs that work about like that.

If that's anything like the black chert I have, it heat treats well.
Any critter tastes good with enough butter on it.

That's a nice piece. It's amazing how much rock is removed to make a point.
