Me 'ol back hurts....
« on: May 29, 2011, 12:42:20 am »
From being humped up all day chipping ;D
First was a Dove from Sonora flint. Then a Pine tree from Flint Ridge. And finally a Dalton from Texas root beer.
That Dalton gave me fits!  At one point I was ready to throw it across the field >:( I was 3 small flakes away from finishing the serrations and got a little too comfortable and popped about 3/4" off the tip.  Had to go back and rework the whole thing, resulting in it being a little thicker than I wanted and about an inch shorter. :'(
Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.

Real nice blades, Shanon. I really like that rootbeer, Dalton. I've got to hit the rockpile this afternoon, finger is feeling better and I won't get a chance for a week or so, heading to Columbia Wednesday.
