nice vid, what type of cane it looks different than what I have which I think is river cane.thanks for shareing with us I know I got a lot from it.

It's phragmites reed.  River cane is a lot stronger and more difficult to process and straighten.  But if you have river cane growing wild in your area, then use it!  I use lots of reed because it's what I have growing nearby.

thanks that reed does look easier to work with,I'm very new to this and I was worried that I didn't have river cane.The reed looks more uniform.
