Trade bow?
« on: May 25, 2011, 10:52:05 am »
First of all, I have to appologize to Rich for the bow that I'm posting.  He generously sent me some very nice bow wood to use for my trade bow, which I promptly ruined.  Sorry man, as much as I love those shorties I really suck at them.  Anyway, I lucked up on a few nice straight grained red oak boards at Lowe's a few weeks ago, so I dropped back to punt with one of them.  This one's 66" total, 64" between the nocks, and pulls 50# @ 28".  Nothing special, but it's one of those "hit where you look" bows.  The handle is just a jute wrap, but I tried something different and wrapped in an arrow rest too.  I plan on giving it a workout this weekend, and if it survives I'll stick it in the mail next week.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.  I think it's easily my best bow so far (of course, that particular title wasn't exactly hard to take).

Ken, I'd be happy to send it to you to shoot in, but wouldn't that severely cut into your production?  ;D
