Some Horse Creek points
« on: May 24, 2011, 12:24:15 am »
Pecked these two out yesterday evening. It was cool out and a slight drizzle. Every time the thunder would rumble, a couple of gobblers would let loose over in front of the house. Very relaxing :)

If the notches were not so narrow it would be a Kirk corner notched. I suppose I could have opened them up a little, but that thing is barely thicker than a cracker and I just didn't see the need.
You'd be proud of me Eddie. I also made a Dalton and a Dove tail over the weekend too. No pictures of those though. I sold them both as soon as I finished them 8)

Those are soooo nice.  I was breaking rock at that time too, but the result was quite different.  Perhaps the absence of turkeys... ???  My driveway has more gravel now. :)

Your points are wonderful.

Awesome work Shannon!

Time, dedication, cuts, tons of broken rock, a wife, and perhaps a few girlfriends are some of what it takes in becoming a skilled flint knapper!!!
