Hehe it took about 20 min with a peice of sandstone to make this so let's get started. First you need a shell the one used is a Cassis cornuta ("horned helmet") there are many different styles of shells and each has a way of making a horn out of it I started with a file but it was to slow so I grabbed a peice of sandstone that was layn on the ground and wet sanded it instead it worked really well here are the pics and what not
Here is the shell before
And basically you sand it down till you get the size hole you want I went for around 5/8 size hole
In this pic you can see where the spiral is going. you can actualy chip out the clear parts to make the hole
I actually shaved off to much but it's ok I can seal the gap at the top with my lip and I poped out the smaller peice with my knife
And that's it il try to record a vidio of me playin it ttyl
Sterling

*raises hand* Can you play "Flight of the Bumblebee" for me on it?
The shot of the light coming thru the shell is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
