I just wanted to thank all you guys who tried to keep me on track while attempting this my second bow and first osage. It is 55#@28" and is a good shooting bow. Amazing. I guess I am suppose to shoot it in for awhile and then I'll put a Tru-oil finish on it. It means a lot to me be able to build my bow and have a hunting weight bow. So, thanks for putting up with my enthusiasm and rookie ways. You guys kept me on track for the most part. Sure learned what to NOT do next time. Oh, and there will be many more "next times". Just mowed the lawn the day before while the rains held off.  Doesn't always look like this. haha
Believe me, I have more yard work than I want! It keeps getting in the way of my fun time.

When I get that woodshop put together in the next few weeks I will post some pictures of it.
Really looking forward to spending time in there with my grandson and his dad....building bows and arrows!

I'm afraid if we fix the pictures, the old guy will still show up in the mirrors. 

I could mow my lawn 3 times in a row and it still wouldn't look that nice...not that I've ever mowed any grass before its time.

The shop was one of the first things we built after moving here.  I love it and as long as Mary doesn't go in there and see how cluttered it is everything is great.  After seeing your lawn I doubt you'll have that problem.   You'll love a shop.

Oh I can get pretty messy. I get into a project and the shavings are flying and dust accumulating. But after a couple of days I do have to clean up...kind of bugs me I have to admit.

I don't think so Gaur! There are so many excellent bowyers on this site. Just trying to learn from you guys. Thanks though. Love the takedown yew bow you are working on by the way.
