nock?
« on: May 09, 2011, 08:21:56 pm »
I normally go the self nock route, but when I use glue on nock's I have trouble with them poping off and was wondering if I wrapped the end of the shaft and part of the nock, soak the wrap in super glue, if ya think this might help, thank's, Bub

Self nocks are stronger. The only time I've BLASTED my arm was when plastic nocks broke.

Buddy, rough up the inside of the nocks with sandpaper first. What glue are you using?

Also, when you install the glue on nock, twist it as you are putting it on the shaft. That will get rid of any trapped air in the nock, and will make a better bond. I assume you're using Duco?

I always drill a tiny hole in the nock to let the air escape when pushing it down on the shaft.
If we can't help each other what is the point of being here?
