This weekend the ASTB will host a great shoot at Tannehill State Park about 20 miles south of Birmingham. The great folk that host the shoot have us a new course this year. May even be a few moving targets(hope so). The shoot will be Saturday and Sunday with a FREE BBQ supper Saturday evening. There is always a drawing for some great door prizes after the supper.
The park is beautiful with plenty of camper hookups and room for primitive camping. Multiple cabins are available to be rented but they usually have to be reserved in advance.
The park has a museum that focuses on the 19th century steel making. Some of the furnaces on park property have been restored as well.
The tournament course consists of 25 targets, easy walking with a multiple round, high score for the weekend format. Shoot until you drop if you like.
Individual round and weekend rates for lone shooters and families are available.
