Pat, one of the ways I put decals on my models is to use a layer of wax paper over the decal. The decals are fragile, but with the wax paper over it I am able to squeegee, with a thin plastic card, the excess fluid out from under the decal. You can even use a "stiff" sponge, or a stiff paint brush.

Hey Pat.....why not tae one of your "thigh highs" .....pull it over the bow tight into the toe on one end....straighten the pattern to what you want....then glue it thru the hose. Thebn when it dry's you can release the tension and trim the excess......wooohoo.... ;D
